I brought up McVeigh for one main reason. I wanted to get people riled up and see how you guys would react. We all talk about what we would do, but no one has the stomach for real war and all of the bad shit that goes with it. Face it. If shit breaks out, there will be plenty of innocent men, women and children killed. The people waging war against us aren't going to give a shit about our kids. They will kill our families and blame it on us. What will it take before you are willing to fight back?

Taking out innocents purposefully isn't war, that's chickenshit tactics is what it is. It's exactly the same as if you were to punch me in the face and I killed your kid. (Just an example, don't get butthurt) It's fucked up and chickenshit. You take the fight to the people that brought the fight to you, not intentionally on an innocent....

They did not kill children on purpose. McVeigh knew kids would be killed and thought it was perfectly ok. There is a huge difference between civilians accidentally being killed and killing them on purpose.

According to McVeigh he did not know that children were in the building and regretted their deaths to his dying breath.

War is all about killing civilians you fool. Soldiers are pawns of the battlefield but killing them doesn't end a war. Breaking the will of a nation and removing their resolve to continue fighting is what ends/wins wars. That goal is accomplished by any means necessary. I must also point out that we have not won a single fucking war since we officially stopped targeting civilians.

Killing children because the government killed some children is not anywhere close to being a justified action.

McVeigh's goal was not to kill children. It was to kill people who worked for the federal government and to possibly inspire a civil war.

Once again; McVeigh's goal was not to kill children. He was a good fighter who had actually killed in a war and knew what death was but he drew his inspiration from a book called the Turner Diaries and the tactic was flawed. He later said that had he the chance to do it over again he would start a sniper campaign against government figures.

That was my confusion. I'm not a fan of what our govt does, but I'm not going to champion the actions of a piece of shit like McVeigh. That's beyond fucked up.

No one would expect you to like him. Love him or hate him, he still showed what could be done and nothing has changed. Anyone with enough drive could do the same thing again and nothing could stop them IF they kept their mouths shut.

Innocents in war ceased to exist the day the first bomb fell onto a city. That is just the way it is and it will never change no matter how horrible the deaths of non-combatants is.

Are you serious? You are either brain washed or totally naive. When I fill up my truck it takes 140 gallon of diesel and no one ask me to fill out a 4473 before I am allowed to fill it. I could drive around today and be able to purchase the same amount of materials before lunch. Give me your address and I could have 20k lbs of fertilizer dropped off in your driveway; that is 4 pallets worth and McVeigh only used 7000lbs.

He wasn't the only one buying it and ANFO isn't the only type of explosive you can make in your shed. Besides, as we learned in West there are stockpiles of the stuff if you know where to look.

I'm not offended. I was trying to invoke emotions because we get used to playing video games or seeing it on TV and don't think about the true cost of war. We talk about it on here, but never talk about the consequences. It will be a painful bloody mess and we need to be prepared for it. Of course I am not for killing children and innocent people. At the same time, it is inevitable in war. I guess my question to each one is, "How far are you willing to go to defeat the enemy?"
