No high-horse here, I just don't take kindly to the blanket statements like "fuck commiefornia," especially when those saying it are in the very same boat from a national perspective. There's a lot I like about living here, and there alot that I don't like. The pros outweigh for the cons for now, so I stick around, as with MANY others here. Same thing with being an American, there's a lot fucked up with our nation, but it's still a wondrful palce to be, and I'm not gonna pull a DOHCTR any time soon.
Yes we do.
I have no desire to assimilate, or confirm to any of the left culture In CA. I will continue to steer clear of political discussions, and remain thankful that I can afford the gas hike and outrageous property values.
He's just on his high horse, complaining about others being on a high horse. SSDD.

His Californian indoctrination is nearly complete. He will soon be completely assimilated.

My point is that we are all in the same boat, not just CA. You already pay more at the pump for emissions regulation, this isn't new or confined to California.
We're all in the same boat, but some of us have better cabins.
Not being a smart ass, but I'm not entirely clear on what you're saying.
Past voting - what legal options are there at this point? I'm not talking moral or grey area items. There quite simply are no good voting options any longer - as far as I can tell.
...or am I off base from the point you were trying to make?

Where I live in SoCal it's pretty conservative. We get outvoted by the liberals in Sacramento and San Fran.
The cost of living here is just higher, and that's why salaries here are higher too. I couldn't make ends meet here on the salary I was making in Texas.
The mass transit system here is excellent. For that reason property prices around the train stations are expensive.
There are good things and bad things about living in Cali just like there are in Texas. At the end of the day it's just another place to live.
By Sacramento you need to specify the politicians, the area as a whole is quite conservative. Spot on for the bay though.
I agree wholeheartedly about the last sentiment, there are positives and negatives to every location.
