    Bermuda was this way to even work there. They had to run three adds in the local paper and have no qualified candidates. They would then fly you over. Your wife had to be employed also or they would boot her. That's what I should have done when I was married the first time. She could never hold a job!

    Just googled about that shit and it appears BMC is right...they're being really selective and only picking based on actual need. It appears like here, its all the STEM people that are needed and thus getting preference.

    And what's stopping you from getting a visa? You're in the perfect age range, good English, degreed, have spent time there...etc. I've always heard its easy to get a visa if you're "skilled labor", but thats always been from employers trying to convince people to go there.

    My guess is the scale and the idea of training on civilians. But all of it stems from mistrust in the administration. If bush did this, it probably wouldn't be as much of a fuss unless it was northern states or California.
