The actual REASON of the second amendment is totally lost on a great many Americans.

It is the single biggest deterrent to a Tyrannical, Over Reaching federal government.

The number of rounds per minute, or what could be thought of in the late seventeen hundreds has nothing to do with the point.

It has to do with the people's ability to actively resist a repressive regime.

It's certainly not PC to speak of armed resistance to ANYTHING these days, but in reality, that's what the second amendment is for... a final bulwark against tyranny.

Those of us with intelligence and morals would certainly like any other option other than bloodshed if the American people were ever faced with such a terrible thing, but that is the honest truth here.

It’s worse than that. History isn’t being forgotten, it’s being destroyed and systematically erased by the socialist left. Rewriting history is a necessary part of the transition from a Republic to Socialism to full on Communism. Today it’s Columbus Day and few Lee statues.... soon it’ll be the Washington and Lincoln memorials in DC and the White House. The 2nd amendment exists so when these morons go all in full retard the citizens can put bullets in their skull and restore the republic if so desired.
