My sentiments exactly. I was a liberal because I disagreed with the conservative religious side. But the left at this point is just too much.

Religious or not, I think what everyone can appreciate about American tradition comes from the fact that it was founded on Christian beliefs and ideals. Because this is where the notion of *God-given* rights comes from and this is how our rights are only guaranteed protected by the Constitution versus granted by the Constitution. The Constitution doesn't give us rights, God does.
If there is no God....

Well, that would be a real slippery slope.
