Yes, but not everybody is going to shell out a couple hundred bucks to get a fake ID for the purpose of voting.Originally posted by Cannonball996 View PostI do not think this bill is going to make a difference for someone who is planning to commit voter fraud, all they would need is a fake ID. there is no way for election officials to verify if an ID is real.Originally posted by lincolnboyAfter watching Games of Thrones, makes me glad i was not born in those years.

its not going to stop the illegals, because they already have the fake IDs.Originally posted by DOHCTR View PostYes, but not everybody is going to shell out a couple hundred bucks to get a fake ID for the purpose of voting.
but if you are one of those people who regularly commit voter fraud every election, knowing the risks, is it really to much to think that these criminals who plan their crimes long in advance would not also pan on getting a fake ID?

All votes against the bill were by Democrats.
I actually agree with the last statement. According to DPS, the name "Jim Crow" is the most frequently requested name for new voter identification cards, followed by, in descending order, "Denzil Washington", "Michelle Obama", and "Dez Bryant".They said the measure would disenfranchise poor and minority voters and is targeting a problem -- in-person voter fraud -- that doesn't exist. Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Fort Worth, said the bill would effectively return Texas to the days of Jim Crow.
"I think it's horrible," Veasey said. "I think it discriminates against people. I think we'll look back in shame."

I would say that a good portion of illegals have real IDs dude. Ever been to the DMV and seen the Spanish only line?Originally posted by Cannonball996 View Postits not going to stop the illegals, because they already have the fake IDs.

It doesn't have to stop them all, if it stops a few then it has served it's purpose.Originally posted by Cannonball996 View Postits not going to stop the illegals, because they already have the fake IDs.

To make it work better, make it where the ID cards have to be run through the machine to verify they are valid, along with visually inspecting them.

Doesn't matter. Its a step in the right direction. You know what politicians do by now, dude. They tack on a little more. And a little more. And a little more. Till one day, it will be impossible for an illegal to vote. Which is against the fucking law, regardless of what liberal shitbags want.Originally posted by Cannonball996 View Postits not going to stop the illegals, because they already have the fake IDs.

absolutely not, in fact we must do something. but its a half-assed solution to a growing problem, we have no way to effectively identify someone in this state, DPS is a joke. I do not believe this is going to deter someone from committing voter fraud. but I do think it will do a good job of keeping legal voters from voting.Originally posted by Forever_frost View PostSo what you're saying is we should do nothing?

If bouncers and cops can spot a fake ID, I'm certain election officials can too. Where the fuck do you get this nonsense that floats around in that head of yours? Are you just fucking with the rest of us? I'm really starting to think it's medically impossible to be this ignorant.Originally posted by Cannonball996 View PostI do not think this bill is going to make a difference for someone who is planning to commit voter fraud, all they would need is a fake ID. there is no way for election officials to verify if an ID is real.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.
