I didn't put any up last year, but I'm thinking I might do it this year. The house came with lights already built to the correct lengths for the edge and roof lines. Figure I might should do something since I'm not doing a Christmas tree or anything.

This man speaks the truth!! I am not scared of heights one bit... just hate lugging myself up and down a ladder to get to the roof. Two story houses are a mofo at times.Originally posted by 80coupeits not puting them up part i hate its taking the mother fuckers down!Originally posted by mutherjuggzThat whole "making love" shit is for the birds. when we remove them we just get a extension pole hook on to one end and then pull out and away from the house and they come down FAST lol.......we use the plastic clips that just slide out from the shingles.....if they are on the gutter or some wont come off we use the pole to pop them off........we RARELY crack the straps off the ladderOriginally posted by T-TOPPS5.0 View PostThis man speaks the truth!! I'm apparently going to be busy when we usually do all of the decorating so we started on the outside Monday and have a lot of it done, but still have to put Santa and some other junk out. My neighbors usually follow our lead as far as decorations for different holidays go so some have started to put little stuff out yesterday and today....the skank across the street just looked at us like we were nuts.

That's the way we usually do it, but now that Emma is two, I'm going to do abit more this year. She loves the lights and it will be alot of fun this year.Originally posted by Chili View PostWe will put up lights but keep it fairly simple. The edges of the roof, around the windows and a couple of our trees. Nothing too crazy.

I use the slide on clips for the lights on the roof so all I have to do is grab and end and tug... then it's DONE!
I hate putting them up, but I'm going all out for the kids since they've been ripped off on Christmas decor in the past.
I'll post pics when that idea actually comes to fruition

We got started today, we got the icicles up, the front net lights, the driveway candycanes all up. Still have quite a few animated animals, a few trees, window lights and all the inside stuff to do still. I forget every year just how much work it is. lol.
