  • AC in Lewisville

Anyone have a recommendation for AC repair in Lewisville? House got up to 90 yesterday afternoon so the lady took the dog and got a hotel. I came back this morning and the outside fan is not kicking on.

We have a home warranty but they wont have someone out until Wednesday so trying to come up with a backup plan other than hotel until then

I went ahead and rigged up a window unit in our master bedroom after it got up to 101 in there the other day. Keeps the room and bathroom at about 83 at night and 88 during the day which feels like 60 compared to the rest of the house.

They are supposed to come out today before 5....we shall see.

Thanks for the contact info, I'll let you know

I bet your capacitor popped. Mine went last summer. $150 got me a new capacitor, my unit cleaned and topped off with freon.

It's your capacitor, easy fix, $50. Read this thread, watch the video

It spins freely when unit is off, doesn't seem like the motor is frozen. I think I need a new capacitor... where can I get one? I have a

                forgot to update....

ended up being the capacitor (suprised?)

We are hoping that the system will take a dump and home warranty will replace but it's working great again now
