Our glass top stove is cracked, with cracks going through two of the 4 burners. I have looked into replacing the glass and so far it looks like it is about $300 just for the glass. I can buy a brand new electric coil stove for about $400 - $500; this is what I will probably do, but in the mean time is it safe to still cook on the cracked stove?

I've got a glass top stove I've been looking to sell. I can't remember the brand. I'm not sure where you are, but I'm in Greenville. It is NOT a self cleaning model and will need cleaned for sure, as I rushed to get everything into storageOriginally posted by LeahBest balls I've had in my mouth in a while.

My top has been cracked as well and I have been cooking on it for about a year and a half. I think you will be all right as long as you don't have fluid gushing over the brims into the cracks. But I believe all that would do is make more of a mess than anything. I just figured I'd get the most out of the damn thing before I cough up $300 for another.Originally posted by LANTIRN View PostOur glass top stove is cracked, with cracks going through two of the 4 burners.
