I had it set for 68 degrees last night and woke up this morning and it was 58 in the house! It was working just a week or two ago when we had it on. Only thing recently is that my thermostat showed low battery and I changed them a few days ago, would this cause any issues?

Do you know if you have a heat pump? Try your emergency heat setting. If the heat comes on there may be an issue with your heat pump. Do not use the emergency heat for long as it is straight electric and will be a killer electric bill. Hopefully it is just something with your thermostat.Originally posted by bjtheman1 View PostI had it set for 68 degrees last night and woke up this morning and it was 58 in the house! Does it even try to come on? Have someone turn it on while you're up there and see if anything at all happens. A simple issue I had last year is that a rubber hose became disconnected between the plenum and a positive pressure switch. Gas comes on, fan starts blowing, but if the switch isn't made the unit doesn't think the fan is working and shuts down.Originally posted by saleen449 View Postpilot light is good. no breaker tripped.
