In short, he's either a horrible liar or he meant to say, "Here's a pic of one SIMILAR to what I installed a few months ago."Last edited by Strychnine; 01-26-2011, 12:05 PM.

Depending on what stage the construction is in, you may be able to get the cabling pulled from the TV to the closet and place your components in there.Or you could have them run an an adjacent wall and place the components in a stand/rack.

Returned my service from Geek Squad at Best Buy.
Found out one of my dads friends hangs up tvs for a living, did it for a better price.
Dont mind the TV table in the pictures below(that was for my 42 inch).. LOL..
I'm getting a new stand this weekend.
60' Sony Bravia LED.

My preference is for the center of the screen to be just barely higher than eye level when sitting. Too high of a mount makes it feel like a commerical location(bus station, airport, sports bar).
Originally posted by Rick the Home Inspector View PostAlso, if you have a problem with your television you should never tell them you had it mounted over a fireplace. Most warranties do not cover placement over a fireplace cause they are prone to heat damages from the firebox. (Plasma's are the worst to mount over a fireplace for this reason)

The 103" we mounted is just high enough so the customer doesn't see their feet when reclined.
