    I've been running hikvision cameras with Blue Iris and it's been really solid once I got BI configured right.

    We have 6 of the Hikvision bullets and 1 6mp fisheye at the restaurant and a Synology with 16TB of storage. The Synology included 2 licensees and additional are $50 each.

    That's what we have at home (Synology NAS), but I'll be honest, my BIL set it up and he knows way more about this stuff than I do. It took him like an hour or two.
