  • Special tile for shower remodel?

Looking at tile to redo the entire shower. Is there a certain type of tile I want to use or not use? Porcelain, ceramic, etc?

Anything...stone, ceramic, porcelain...up to you. For the shower floor I would go with something with small tiles on a mesh unless you have a linear drain and only slope the shower pan 1 way.

go to some of the builders surplus stores and find something that you like.

Anything that isn't heavy will work basically. Dont use marble or granite obviously on walls.

I chose Subway tile and Mosaic glass tile for my bathroom shower/tub addition.

              LOL

It does look really nice, like a 60's Ranch updating. I like it.

I use heavy ass slate for the bath and kitchen walls in all my rental properties. Easy to seal with a roller and it looks rich! Cheap too! I buy on sale at Floor and Decor for .89-.99 cents a sqft.
