    Yes, this was the plan. I guess I wasn't specific enough in the OP.

    As far as the popcorn ceilings, they'll be gone the second we get the keys. Along with the wallpaper in the bathrooms and brass fixtures all over the house. I miss the 80s.

      The residential owner can remove it themself regardless of asbestos content without any special provisions for containment. Would I do that? No if it was greater than 1% asbestos, because that sort of surfacing allows the fibers to be easily inhaled. If the owner does remove it themself however, there's the issue of (proper) disposal too.
