Maybe I'm weird, but I liked your wood paneling from the pictures I saw. Much better then bland textured sheetrock.

My sheetrock looked worse than that when we took the picture window paneling down. But that still looks pretty bad. Will save a ton of time if you just throw up the 1/4" sheetrock over that instead of filling/sanding that crap. Plus, like I told you with ours, When filling it only made the paper pull away from the rock more, and ripple. I worked on one spot for a couple hours before I said fuck this and went to get all new 1/4" sheetrock.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

that actually brings up a good question, I think when paneling goes up, the builder uses 1/4" sheet rock vs. the 1/2". If you 1/4" under there, I'd look into replacing that, and if needed, insulate behind there while your at it.Originally posted by bcoop View PostMy sheetrock looked worse than that when we took the picture window paneling down. That's almost exactly the same handscraped flooring I've got in my master bedroom Matt. I like it a LOT, but it shows dust and dog hair quickly. The old house had it throughout and it was such a pain to keep clean, but looked so good when it WAS clean I decided just to put it in one bedroom in this one. lol Shit that looks like a lot of work. I would have painted it. lol

Glue down I hope? I just installed our kitchen and dining room. You'll save a shit ton by doing it yourself. Use the Bona System for care and cleaning.Originally posted by Silverback View PostHaving them installed, yeah handscraped engineered hardwood.Detailing is an Obsession!!

We had a water heater leak and insurance is paying to replace the flooring in the entire house. Every room except the bathrooms and kitchen are wood, so all if it is getting replace.Originally posted by Wish4svts View PostGlue down I hope? I just installed our kitchen and dining room. Man when we moved in our living room was all wood paneling. I decided to pay a guy before we moved to rip it all out. I am glad I didn't wait since it was apparently put in when the house was built. I had zero finished edges and two rafters that actually went into the attic. It does look a lot better now.Whos your Daddy?
