Well, the guy showed up finally and is working on it now. I hope this is the last time my house needs any serious electrical work. Glad I have a reliable contractor for almost anything else. I've been trying to get this thing hooked up so I can help my back out for about three weeks and it's been annoying as hell dealing with flakes.

Could you run it over head, and attach it to a pole, or one of those ceramic wire holder things? Like this type.

Not legally. It has to be buried now. If the homeowner does it himself then whatever floats your boat...but generally those insulated hangers and overhead wires are no longer acceptable.

He wanted to do that here as well. Apparently Jared got a crazy quote from him a few years back at the old EYC House. Maybe he just has off days, but I won't be calling him for another estimate.

lol. I feel pretty damn good about this little house. It was dirt cheap, but in a decent hood, exactly where I wanted it to be. I've spent the last year and a half doing nothing but working on it, and it is really coming together. My MCM obsession has paid off.

Or he knew it was a shitty day. The wiring going to my condensing unit arc'd and started a fire. He came and put in a quick disconnect and wired from there I the unit for around $100.
