  • Concrete guys....

I need to pour a 6 inch tall "footing" in a barn around some horse stalls. Will go about 6 inches in the drond and use rebar. The barn was built with 3x3 posts. Should I make the footings 4 inches wide and go post to post, or should I go out to 7" wide and pour concrete past the posts with 1.5 inches on each side (or more)...THoughts????????

Helps keep the sand in the stall. Also keeps the metal siding up off the ground, which keeps the siding from rusting and keeps a horse from catching a foot up under the siding if they kick low.
