Dam the new refrigerant system. Condensor went out and needing a dam complete system. Should i go cheap and get a r22 or the new r410a system. Sear quoted $1300 condensor, evap, and furnace. 7200 without the furnace. Hot dam that shit is high dollar.

I have been out of the home hvac game for a while but R-22 systems are being phased out. I am surprised you can get a quote on a new one as R-22 will no longer be produced for new systems in a few years (2021 I think). There is a lot of web reference available on this.

If you are replacing the system, I would go with the 410 system. If you are patching an existing R-22 system it could well provide many years of reliable service. I would avoid a new R-22 system at this stage as you will have problems getting in serviced in the future.
