I really don't know anything about home audio.
I've got some speakers and a turn table but no receiver.

Does this look like a decent deal to anyone?
Newegg has it for $273. I like the bluetooth option, but it maybe over kill.

Speakers are Polk monitor 60 series II and and AIWA sub.

Turntable? Are you spinning some vinyl?

Nice! I miss some real crackle. I was up by SMU doing an inspection and popped into a record shop. It got me wanting to start it up all over again.

You're probably going to have to buy a separate phono pre-amp for the record player. Only the higher end models have them included anymore. Here's one:

Otherwise, yeah, that's a decent deal.

I looked into it, and apparently mine has a built in preamp

I went ahead and ordered that Sony. It's almost the same dimensions as my turn table so the turn table will sit nicely on top of it. And the bluetooth ability is pretty cool

Now my final dilemma. I plan to use an old (50's or 60's) craftsman bottom box as a media stand. I'm on the fence for leaving it patina'ed as fuck, or sand blasting and powercoating it like a crinkly brown.

                  It's this bottom box.
If i were to paint it, it would straighten the metal lip up top first.

I am one that likes the patina. Clear coat it, and leave it.

If I do that, do you think I should remove the handles and polish them? Maybe bead blast them for an even look. They'll have to come off for clear anyways.

They look riveted, is that correct? They would look real nice polished against the patina of the cart.

Are you still wanting to use the drawers? If not, you could cut the bottom out of the top drawer, join the two to make one deep drawer, and place both of the components inside. If you use weatherstripping to seal around the drawer(s) front, and install a set of computer fans in the back, they should be able to vent just fine.

The benefit to doing this would be that the components will last longer in that environment. It'll also look clean and trick as fuck.

The drawers are rivited on. I'd drill them out, and then re-rivit.
I'd like to keep the drawers, as well as display the equipment.
I've got some pretty cool looking records as well, no sense in hiding them.
It'll be right inside my front door, so I'll probably use the drawer as storage.
                          Pretty pumped.

                            Yeah, absolutely. Rivets are simple.

I think everything you're talking about will be killer. I guess my only other suggestion would be a new piece of rubber on top to tie in with the newly polished handles.
