Garage floor coatings

Any idea how much this costs to have professionally done? I'd like to epoxy my shop floor.

I did all the work myself and spent that much on materials.

I did the home depot kit on my 2 car 11 years ago. Still holding up.

The only complaint I would have is super slippery when wet, but you would most likely have this issue with any floor.

I did 800sqft and used sherwin Williams armor seal.

The epoxy coating is great but slippery as ice when wet. After remembering sliding through the shop in a customers car plenty of times when it would rain I decided not to do it. My wife would pull in the garage on a rainy day and slide right into the back wall, I just know it.

They sell a sand that you can mix in for traction.

Yea, you can put the sand in it for grit, but if you ever want to work in the garage changing your oil or something that sand will do some damage.

I did both my garages, prep and all with Sherwin Williams product. Not water based has held well with great gloss.

My two car was somewhere around 700 for material only. Prep didn't cost me much as I had most all I needed and I didn't sand the floor. Its expensive to have professionally done and I wouldn't cheap out on it if you expect it to last. But at a bare minimum seal the concrete!!

Call and discuss with a rep and see what they suggest. You might be able to get something within your budget.
