Is it to late to start giving a shit about the grass/weeds in the backyard? I don’t have a plan yet besides start watering in the evening and see what pops up.

Yessir. Simple 1x4 or 1x6 cedar. No special tools needed. Built with a mounting clete/spacer on the back. Installed with tapcons. Just be sure to prime the back side. I used exterior primer so they don't rot from thr back.

The city finally got sod laid, last friday, right before daytime temps spiked to 107 degrees. I almost lost it.

If any of you remember what I started with 5 years ago, this is a HUGE difference.

I'll get some backyard pics after it is cut

I figure five-six days you would notice something. It’s down so we will see.

I just looked back and saw when you put it down.. it’s only been a few days and it’s slow release.. give it another week and look at it again..

I’ve had good luck with it.. makes my yard a little darker and healthier looking.. not like regular fertilizer where I’m mowing every 3-4 days

Figured I’d give it a shot since my yard is missing some sort of nutrient. Need to get a soil sample test done.

I just stopped watering. Feels like fighting a losing battle in these temps...

I was mowing once every three days @ 3/4 height. Today was my first mow in a week and I brought the deck down to just below 1/2

I've convinced myself that if I don't water it as much then I won't have to cut it as much so kind of a win-win
