Head hunters use a word matching scheme. Submit your resume to these complanies.

Cram in all the key words in your experience, then when you get a call about a specific
opportunity, have them send you the position requisition.

Then you can boil your resume down, and focus it to match up better with the position
requisition. A lot of your resume fluff can get tossed out at that point, but keep a
    "master" resume which is all-inclusive.

Almost evey head hunter will ask for a re-write of your resume, if you seem to be a good
    match for the position.

Head hunters don't know what the the jobs are for, they only know how to match up the
    requirements with the candidate resume.

I've not found cover letters to carry any weight in Info Tech.

Peeking into our companies hiring method, it's skillset, experience, first impression
      in person.

We test our candidates, on the carpet, to point of failure.

I'd like to see a few examples of cover letters, anyone has written before. Im afraid to write one for each application I send, because I might look like a fool with what I write.
