Is that saying the average salary of this program is only 81k after graduating?! That's terrible for the energy industry in Houston.

I read that as average income of the incoming class.

I understood that to be the incoming class statistics, but I agree if that's out, that's pretty low in that scenario.

Undergrad was engineering, yes.
2007-2011 - application engineer w/ Cummins (TX/OK)
2011-2014 - application engineering manager for drilling and well servicing segment w/ Cummins (TX/OK). Spent a good portion of this time helping develop new product and new market share
2014 - took over the technical sales leader role for Cummins (global) land based oil and gas products coming out of Houston

Back on topic, taking the GMAT again can't hurt you. The scores are good for 5 (?) years and they only take your highest score.

Rice is well respected but so are several state schools. It's amazing how picky the energy industry is getting about degrees...I thinky company is only hiring like 40% or less bachelors candidates in all of the technology organization

I don't really want to do distance. Being in oil & gas and being in Houston I would miss out on invaluable networking by not doing school here also. It's not called the energy capital of the world for nothing.

When I took the GMAT 4 years ago (not really sure why I took it at the time) I only opened my study book once to browse a practice test the night before lol. Not sure why but the quantitative section rocked me ... got a 640. Strictly by the numbers the score is "acceptable" (but not to me personally), but the breakdown was certainly lopsided. Since the selection process is very all-encompassing, it would definitely behoove me to submit a (better) more balanced score, right?



BTW, total cost for Professional MBA class of '16 (starting this August) is $95,500
