I've owned 9 sport bikes in ten years. I say that just to bring to the fact I've had the fastest and yes it's fun but at this point in my life (32 hrs old) I want something different now. Not the fastest or flashiest, just different that you don't see a lot of. I'm thinking an aprillia or mv agusta or ducati or just something that sounds good and looks good that every swinging dick out there doesn't have.

I rode a 2011 ZX10 with the computer programmed, full exhaust and a few lightweight bits Friday night! All I can say was holy shit!! If you are full throttle at 150+, the speedo still jumps by 5 and 6's! It was the first bike I didn't run up into 6th gear. When you are doing over 180 in 5th, no need for 6th lol. The 07+ Honda 600RR's are like the best all around little bike. It makes great power for a 600, handles very well, is decently comfortable and is reliable. I personally like the GSXR 750's or the Daytona 675's. They are about the same size as the 600's, but with more power.

I've got a Raven '06 R6S (same as your '05 with inverted forks) with 5,000 miles that I'd make you a helluva deal on, but the shipping costs would eat away every bit of the lower price. Plus you want something different.

I'd ride a liter bike before making a decision, the extra torque may or may not suit your riding style. I personally love the lighter handling of the 600 when driving in town, but the power band is a bit high for my taste.

I love the first gen zx-10s - like a 954, but with gorilla sized nuts. R-A-W
