my younger cousin just got back from iraq and bought himself a bike after being here just 3 days. i went and rode it home for him from allen since he has never rode and the bike seemed to run pretty good. the tires are bald but even with that it still rode smooth

anyways, other than replacing the tires/fluids/spark plugs/air and oil filters... what are some things to check? it's a 2003 with 43k btw..

is it a shaft drive or chain? i would lube that up. you could change to fuel filiter if you wanted but other than that it sounds like you covered all the things that should be looked at.
