IRS is nice for trail riding I am sure. However, a 400ex is a great quad and can be had on a budjet. I picked up my 2008 in great condition for 2000 with a title. Stay with a 4 stroke 400 cc and up.

Are you looking for fast paced trail riding like a sport quad or more of a utlity 4x4 type to find some mudholes?

I've got a 2006 Polaris Outlaw 500 IRS I might let go for 3k. I ride with a bunch of slow ass 4x4's so I guess thats what I need to buy. It does great on trails and light mud but temp light comes on if you ride slow too much. Overall a bad ass bike!
