  • Motorcycle Plates and Toll Booths

I know some of you guys have your plate so the tolls camera's can't read your plate. Does anyone know if a vertically mounted plate can be read?

thats how mine is mounted and i think its still reads it. best bet is to cover it with your hand when going under a reader. i have seen a few bikers do that.

Saw one guy have his plate mounted vertically along the left side of the swingarm.

Each time we passed through a plaza, he'd stretch his left leg straight back and cover the plate with his foot.

I have mine mounted in a similar way and just got a toll bill. I've heard that riding the center stripe as mentioned works though.

So you just ride on the line? The white dashed one?

When there were booths there were black rectangles of tar in the pavement just ahead of the booth. You went around that and it didn't trigger the light.

                  Now...not sure what to avoid.

Fuck that. I'm on that toll way from one end to the other 3-5 times A WEEK. If I can avoid paying that bitch, I avoid it. I roll with my tailgate down too so they cant get my picture. No front plate either.

That tollway has been paid for 10x over. I'm not going to contribute any more than I have to.

You can ride the line between the fast lane and shoulder, or slow land and shoulder to avoid.

My plate is super tucked though... no worries here.
