You did what? I haven't been to Thackerville in a long time. I'd like to get out there sometime in the near future.

I was hanging out with some of the guys that were in the tccra race up there and riding around on the father in law's back up KTM. Apparently, I forgot how to properly ride a 2 stroke (more like a 4 stroke taught me to ride lazier). I tried to lug up a heavily rooted steep hill, grabbed some clutch to keep from bogging down and went down. Would have been an easy get off on the flat.

                        flexx bars are not cheap.

thackerville was rough. i did four laps on saturday and skipped the race. the down hills were super sketchy. i went over the bars down one that was not even faster than the alternate.

i just went back to running tubes instead of the bibs. i feel like i am riding a different bike, and i hate it.

Looks nice! Do you neighbors get pissy when you ride around in the lot in front of your house? That's where i'd be messing around!

No complaints yet, but I'm sure they don't like it. I rarely do that, and when I do it's only for a minute, just to make sure the bike runs ok after working on it.

I ran bibs on one of my previous bikes. I liked them for the most part, but it did give a little bit of a "flat tire" feel to the front end. It's nice having an equivalent to 8psi and not worrying about flats. I went with the Bridgestone Ultra heavy duty tubes this time around. They're so damn thick you could probably use them as tires! Very heavy. I'm definitely starting to feel the weight I've added to the bike.
