A young, single male on a bike = $$$. Doubt what you want, but your insurance will be roughly what the bike is worth a year. Most people wont even consider you without two to three years of holding a class M.

I'd do the trade. I own a 2005 z400 in mint condition(driven maybe 2 times a year) and from what I'm seeing I'd be lucky to get $2,000 for it. I'd think that cbr would be worth a lot more than 2k. Plus the practicality of use of transportation from a to b. for what it's worth on the insurance talk. I insured myself in may (single 30yrold, no class m at the time, full coverage on a 2007 sv650 for $360 a year, but I'm that cheap so I opted for liability for $78 a year. That's also a sv650 not r1, gsxr, cbr, etc

Something doesn't add up. I'm not an insurance guy, but I would be afraid the insurance company would "discover" the title history if you were to make a claim and try to do something to deny coverage.

nope. State farm insures salvage title bikes.
