Nevermind... I mis-read it and thought Grove Rat was asking people to post the grossest they could find. I did see one on 4gifs that had an exposed lung and the guy is still alive - can't access it from my work PC though.

I've watched on the discovery channel or something where they did that treatment. It was from a really bad snake bite. And maggots are good for eating away only the dead/infected skin.
