The cop escalated the situation very quickly though. He won't pass he investigative detective test....

Hell, maybe the guy was scared as fuck? Have you never just flat out said the wrong word at the wrong time? Besides, I'm pretty sure a fucking cop having a "bad day" doesn't give him a right to beat the fuck out of someone for no reason, but let me go read the law books just to be sure.Originally posted by kingjason View PostI didnt say it gave him the right to beat the shit out of him did I? Why lie? Why be that guy that is a douche and risk catching the guy on a bad day?
Because legally he didn't HAVE to stop filming and put the camera down? Why bow down to some jack-booted cop telling you to stop doing something you are allowed to do for no reason?Originally posted by kingjason View PostWhen the cop told him to stop and put the camera down why not do it for a second just to ID yourself?
Who said he struggled? The crooked cop that lied? You automatically believe the word of the lying cop.Originally posted by kingjason View PostWhy struggle once you get into the altercation with the cop?
Again, you have decided to automatically believe the word of the lying cop, instead of the person that was assaulted for doing nothing illegal. If you actually watched the whole video, you would have saw where it mentioned his injuries.Originally posted by kingjason View PostHis nose could have broken when he hit the pavement. What does his chest being fucked up even mean? Does he have congestion? Is a rib broken? Did he not have a shirt on and get a abrassion on his boo boo?
Yeah, it did to me, but it depends on who you are inclined to believe. You are predisposed to listen to the word of the lying cop. I'm not.Originally posted by kingjason View PostDoes it really sound like the cop took him down and beat his ass on the video?
Yeah, the camera doesn't lie, and in this case, it isn't "his best defense", it is his worst nightmare, as it proves he is a crooked cop. Funny how that goes both ways, huh?Originally posted by kingjason View PostWe are video and sound all the time and I love it because people lie all the time and the camera is our best defense.
If he lied? Everyone saw the video, everyone read the report, so where do you get the "if"? He straight up lied, and that is why his police force is taking action against him.Originally posted by kingjason View PostIf the cop lied on the police report then screw that guy ...
As far as you not defending him, that is subjective, as different people reading your comments can form their own opinion.Originally posted by kingjason View Post...I am not defending him or his actions.
It is kinda hard to fabricate evidence when a video is running, while you are laying on the ground bleeding, and while you are handcuffed going to the emergency room. On the other hand, it is real easy to fabricate evidence on paper while you are setting in a cop car away from the camera.Originally posted by kingjason View PostI am just saying there is probably some fabrication on both parts.

Police brutaliy is nothing new but, just about everyone having some type of video source to capture it is fairly new .
In this case filmed, the officer became angry for no real apparent reason ? I see no need to attack the exact same public that they are hired to protect.
It does to me, seem that the system is broken, this type of situation should really never happen any where at any time but or daily lives are now filled with it .
Law enforcements rebuttal is always " Tough, thank less job "
It didn't use to be ?
Police at one time were held at the highest level of respect ..But time after time the citizens being arrested for no reason , officers telling lies in court , breaking laws to enforce laws , police beating, shootings, etc ..
The public has no sense of how to react , we should not be affraid to be approached by one , or make eye contact fearing they have had a bad day and they and the fellow officers will stop you and deal out their form of street justice
Police departments thru-out the USA need to take a hard look on how to create a complete new outlook or the problem will only escalate further

Thanks for not taking up for the cop, simply because he was a brother. That's why many arguments get started.Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostEven though I do not agree with the officer's actions, I still say all you FTP-ers should pin on a badge and try doing the job. You are so quick to judge how easy the job is, but don't have the guts to actually do it. Instead of trying to pass judgement over a keyboard, try working the streets and making a difference.

What I still want to know is, what did he do to the cop to get charged with assault.

Though u are a newb I'm going to have to agree. Damn thing kept running. Bad ass in my books. The cop looked like he was being a dick but hell who is to say the video wasn't changed a little. I mean why did the guy lie bout living there. Just don't do dumb shit in front of cops. Not real fucking hard to do.Originally posted by wayne fontenot View Posteveryone is missing the BIGGER story here..... What kind of camera is that? it took a beating and never skipped a beat. The officer obviously made a severe indiscretion here, at the very least the guy should have his medical bills paid. Even if the guy didn't live there, he did nothing wrong by filming, and was well within his rights as an american citizen. The overzealous cop (proven by his own lies) should get what's coming to him, and the deparment should take it as a lesson in their hiring requirements and procedures.Originally posted by onemeangixxer7502 View PostYou really think his counter suit is about that? My guess is the stipulations are $$ signs, not all I want is for him to get fired...lol I think there should be a cap on how much people can sue for. There's so much $$ ate up from frivolous lawsuits........ Some people make a living at it.

How do you recommend someone to make the point against a corrupt cop and the police force he represents? What other process can a 'citizen' make against them? Apparently you cannot talk bad to them, they'll kick you in the fucking ribs and face for being a douche...
