I agree that it's about a pay day. Asking for trouble does not warrant an ass kicking, especially from someone that is supposed to enforce the law. Look at any other video like this, they will detain the cameraman, get ID, maybe give him a bullshit ticket. They do not come up swinging.

I am by no means saying the cops actions were right. But when he asked the guy if he lived there and he said no, that was all the cop needed to know in order to get suspicious of what they guys was up to. It has been said that the truth hurts. In this case, the truth wouldn't hurt.David

Suspicious of what? The cop had an attitude problem from the start the moment he saw the camera. I would suspect it's a guilty conscience from his past activities for being an aggressive cop. His tresspassing exuse was bullshit. The only way it's tresspassing is if the owner of the property complains and asks him to leave. The cop doesn't own that property and can't arrest someone for tresspassing the way he did.Originally posted by Fst86gt View PostI am by no means saying the cops actions were right. On the other side of the same coin, the camera guy had to know he was provoking them just with his presence with a camera. He should know the old "mess with the bull, you may get the horns" routine.

Were the cops responding to a burglary? Cop shows up, the guy is rolling tape, and lies about his residence and becomes squirrely when given orders by the officer. He could have been one of the burglars for all that the officer knew. He did not have to stop rolling, but he could have set the camera down and cleared his name instead of starting an argument. The ass whooping that ensued was a bit much, but if you are gonna bend over and grab your ankles in gay bar don't be surprised if you get poked.Originally posted by Sean88gt View PostIs it a law that citizens have to answer cops? Maybe the guy didn't want the cops going into his house. Not sure what his motivation was but it didn't deserve the response that was generated.

I look at it completely different and I don't think the camera guy provoked anything. The officer drove over and didn't skip a beat the whole time. I can't stand people who jabber mouth about their rights and are more annoying in the process than actually proving a point but I didn't get the impression that this guy was annoying. The second time he asked he said he lived there.Originally posted by Steve View PostWow. Both were in the wrong in my opinion. The camera guy provoked the situation by being antagonistic and the cop was just an asshole.
The cop was a douche and should be dealt with.Originally posted by Cmarsh93zDon't Fuck with DFWmustangs...the most powerfull gang I have ever been a member of.

Keep this mentality and there will be plenty of people and laws to protect you from yourself in the future. The easiest way you can make a point to local government is to sue their ass and win money.Originally posted by onemeangixxer7502 View PostHis countersuit isn't about making a point, its about a payday. I mean granted the cop went over board but he was ASKING for trouble. exactly, if somebody wants to make a living exposing bad cops by taking ass whoopings and recording them, I applaud themOriginally posted by Broncojohnny View PostThe easiest way you can make a point to local government is to sue their ass and win money.
