I agree that it's about a pay day. Asking for trouble does not warrant an ass kicking, especially from someone that is supposed to enforce the law. Look at any other video like this, they will detain the cameraman, get ID, maybe give him a bullshit ticket. They do not come up swinging.

Suspicious of what? The cop had an attitude problem from the start the moment he saw the camera. I would suspect it's a guilty conscience from his past activities for being an aggressive cop. His tresspassing exuse was bullshit. The only way it's tresspassing is if the owner of the property complains and asks him to leave. The cop doesn't own that property and can't arrest someone for tresspassing the way he did.

On the other side of the same coin, the camera guy had to know he was provoking them just with his presence with a camera. He should know the old "mess with the bull, you may get the horns" routine.

He could have been one of the burglars for all that the officer knew. He did not have to stop rolling, but he could have set the camera down and cleared his name instead of starting an argument. Wow. Both were in the wrong in my opinion. The camera guy provoked the situation by being antagonistic and the cop was just an asshole.

I look at it completely different and I don't think the camera guy provoked anything. The officer drove over and didn't skip a beat the whole time. I can't stand people who jabber mouth about their rights and are more annoying in the process than actually proving a point but I didn't get the impression that this guy was annoying. The second time he asked he said he lived there.

The cop was a douche and should be dealt with.
