Mines .014,I wouldn't worry too much about it.Originally posted by turbostang View Post'
That's a good question, but not one I have an answer for. I just set it the way the cam card said to set them. It's 5 years old, but I seem to remember Hans saying it's supposed to be a tight lash setup.
When I get some time on it, I'll most likely try it a few different ways to see what it likes.

lol, shit cracks me up... I've put over 100k on a solid flat tappet engine and the rockers were still in spec the whole time...Originally posted by turbostang View Post
LOL, he's used to old school where they say you have to adjust solid rollers every other pass or some shit.

Yeah, My old S10 - I don't recall ever resetting them in over a year of street driving and drag racing.Originally posted by Cooter View Postlol, shit cracks me up... I've put over 100k on a solid flat tappet engine and the rockers were still in spec the whole time...
Now, THIS motor, it's entirely possible to have to check and possibly reset them once a month or so. Maybe not now while it's N/A - but when it gets the turbo and starts making some power...
Brady, it's good to go now. I have to redo a couple small things - like the oil restrictors and maybe change intake manifolds, but otherwise it's good to go.

Would you be referring to Scott (kobuzz)? He's used that term several times before.Originally posted by SSMAN View PostEEEEEEwwww, clean that shit up David.
I remember a guy that referred to a solid roller motor sounding like a "T-Rex Chomping on rocks". Sweet sound and got to love the power.
I also like to hear peoples responses to listening to a Pete Jackson gear drive, calling it a "blower car". lol
