I can assure you, you didn't. You intended to throw it out there for truth, but you're too ignorant to match up the details between your conflicting posts. You thought you were gonna tell a big story and make yourself out to be some cocksman ordering your ladies around to suit your pleasure. Instead you got busted, your story fell apart like and you were left looking like an immature little bitch. Moron.

Can't beat 5 year/60,000 mile warranty and 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper on a daily. Keeps me from driving my other vehicles which rape me in mpg.

Averaging 22 mpg isn't bad, but I'd rather have a GT with only 20K on the clock after 3-4 years rather than 70-80K.

No more 18,000 miles/yr on the GT or $500/mo gas billz For a $600 beater to drive to work, it's fucking genius.

I love those deals... it's guaranteed money - your LTV is like 30% - you can't lose. I would charge you a high interest rate on it though.

I don't think it was a bad purchase - cars that cheap are better purchased new. Generally, those cars go to kids as their first car, or people who can't afford anything better - both of which beat the shit out of it and don't do the maintenance. With gas prices being uncertain, I predict it to hold value better than you might think.

Now given, his choice would be an obvious ok one if he was financing with little or nothing down, but bringing $13k to a dealership to walk out with a $12k car is a bad decision.
buying a car is always a losing investment, but when you buy the one with less mpg that will be worth less (and already is), it's like making a bad decision worse.

i'd like to hear how you think he made a smart decision.
While Im a fan of the TDI... spending $13k on a used car with no warranty, 100k miles, expensive motor to fix, and the simple fact its used doesnt make that much sense to me. Was the maintenance done? Will the transmission need a rebuild or clutch need to be replaced? When you buy a used car, you never know wtf happened to it. My truck was wrecked and fixed and had a clean carfax. I didnt know it. Was my clutch replaced by the previous owner? I dont know when I will need a new clutch.

Any car will be worth less than what you bought it for in a year no matter what. Your logic, in my mind, makes no sense. It makes sense to put money down on a car to deffer interest. Its a smart decision. Granted new car interest rates are very low, why would you rather pay interest on something than not? Paying $13k cash for a TDI that will be worth 11k next year is as equally as dumb as your theory of paying $13k cash on his car.

The Fiesta is an affordable and economical car. Being brand new with warranty. Whats wrong with that?
