Exactly its one thing to get Carroll Shelby to sign your dash but Jay Leno?? Really? Might as well let Oprah sign it! I wouldn't let Jay Leno sign my napkin!

Leno has a factual taste in cars that most hot rodders dont understand including me. He is a big steam car and Dusenberg freak along with cars that represent engineering first like Gas Turbine Cars. All of this is cool but I just dont get it.

I think Conan is the better entertainer of the two. I have seen the Tonight Show since Leno hosted it maybe 4 times. That being said if I was in his shoes and retired then was hit up by the TV execs to come back for 17 million a year you could bet your sweet ass I would and don't give a shit if it was my own father I was putting out of work.

Money cant buy happiness? BS. Leno is ALWAYS smiling!

I like Jay for his automotive passion. He likes cars and knows about them and is down to earth when he talks with fellow car guys. For that, I like him. He is a true car guy. He don't care if its steam powered, a freaking Ford Festiva or a Veyron, he just likes cars.
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

In the '70's to mid-'80's, he would NEVER sign anything that wasn't "his" (i.e. a REAL Cobra). Since then, he'll sign anything for a buck, which diminishes the value of his autograph to about nothing.

Just a question, but why the hate on Shelby? Alot of people tend to be hold/cold for the guy. I guess I just don't know enough about it why that is. I've noticed this alot while shopping for my GT500. Some people insist on having their cars signed as if it actually does something for the value of the car.

I don't care that the car says "Shelby" on it, I just love the car and the potenial of it along with the luxury the cars have, it has nothing to do with any limited production thing or the name attached to it.

Interesting. Did not know what. I've seen that you can contact Shelby HQ to order a dash plate that has been pre-signed for a hefty cost. So I could see your point on this.

Not many folks out there like you steve. The name plate sells a many of cars to folks who just wanna flaunt the name.

It's the hipster mentality Steve... Much like people who like a band, then when they start getting played on the radio, they've sold out to the system. Then those same fans don't like the band anymore.

A lot of people disliked what Shelby did with his business, and the "Shelby" name, but he didn't owe anything to anyone but himself and his family.

Also people think the signed plaques up the value of their car, because when he dies, no one else can have them signed...

That's unfortunate that some people are like that. They miss out on enjoying alot of things in life trying so hard to be cool and unique, rather than just being themselves. I like what I like and don't make any apologies for it.

a lot of the Shelby owners went into an uproar when Shelby sold a license to Unique Performance, and the cars they build and sell get a Shelby serial number and plaque and are considered part of the Shelby family and are officially recognized by the Shelby American Auto Club as authentic and original Shelby's.

I like Leno. I have met him in person and talked to him for a minute after one of his stand up shows. He acts like a normal person and isn't big headed at all (no pun intended) Conan is a moron. I have watched vids of his performance he is doing now and it is just stupid. I would ask for a refund. It makes sense why the Tonight Show got rid of him to get Jay Leno back.

it's really easy to be nice to strangers and other car enthusiasts when you're rich as fuck and have nothing to gain by fucking them over
