I thought the government is putting pressure on the car makers trying to make trucks get 25 mpg plus in the very near future. I don't see this getting anything close to 25 mpg.

the CAFE standard is an average of the production vehicles MPG, its not an individual vehicles. That average is what helps establish the gas guzzler tax that individual vehicles receive.
