maybe a stupid question, but are you really supposed to be using wheel spacers in a performance application?

We use hubcentric spacers all the time in racing. What we don't use are the cheap aluminum spacers that have steel studs that pull through them. those are dangerous.Originally posted by 89stangGT View Postmaybe a stupid question, but are you really supposed to be using wheel spacers in a performance application?

Darren, as for the losing a wheel thing....well, there is a vid of me losing the left rear wheel post race on the way to tech/weigh....Had to find a way to bolt the wheel back on so I would make weight!

Matt, let's don't loose any wheels next year. The SN197's will probably be out next year some in NASA. Of course, one will have a Longhorn sticker and the other an Aggie sticker. I guess we'll work it out somehow, but you guys don't gang up in me!! LOLOriginally posted by aggie97 View PostWe use hubcentric spacers all the time in racing. Only way that will happen is if you are running super touring...we left AI last year and took on the challenge of vipers, vettes and other exotics....and kicked their butts I might add!Originally posted by Cobra86 View PostMatt, let's don't loose any wheels next year. Misty and I have prepped her camaro and my mustang for ST2. We run on REAL race tires from the great state of Indiana....not the far east and we don't mean North Carolina!
