I don't have anything to compare the pain to really. I broke my hand once before the femur but that didn't hurt too bad. Femur = holy shit! But since I laid there for an hr I was able to calm down. If I tried to move my leg it was unbearable.

While I was laying there in pain, a stranger, some lady, was taking my picture with a disposable camera. I was flipping her off thinking, "what the fugg is this lady doing?" She ended up giving the camera to one of my buddies to give to me. My wife tried to develope it but the pics didn't come out. I kinda wished they would've came out so I could see what was going on. It is kinda a blurr to me.

That femur makes me cringe; I hear that is a fucking painful break to have.

I've had some decent injuries but no pics that I know of. Guess that is what I get for growing up at a time when everyone and their dog did not carry cell phone camera around.

I've raced cross country for 3 yrs and that is the only real injury I've had. And it wasn't even during a race. Just putting around.

Broke my right femur a couple years ago out at Lake Murray. Was riding my quad. It was the first time I had ever been there. I was going over a little hill in 1st gear, just checking out what was on the other side. Well, there was a drop off on the other side. I was at the top of 1st and by the time I saw it drop straight off it was too late. I ended up airborn and smacking into another little hill dead on. I tried jumping off but the quad hit at the same time I was in the process of jumping. The handlebars smacked my right leg and snapped my femur. Really freaked me the Fugg out when I tried to move my leg and you could only see a little nub moving under the skin while the rest of my leg was twisted up in an abnormal, uncomfortable manor.

I laid in pain for an hour before medics could get to me. We were riding way in the back. My friends who went to get help got lost on the way back and couldn't find me. After they finally got to me they decided to air lift me out, THANK GOD! So they called in the heli and I went to the hospital. It was really chicken shit how I had this accident. I wish I could say I was doing a nack nack over a triple and ate it but I didn't. Got a rod and two screws in my right femur. A year later I had the screws taken out cause they were bothering me. I guess the surgeon used the longest effing screws he could find to hold the rod. They ended up hurting like hell when I would sit down or run. Still got the rod though!

Not as impressive as the broken bones that have been posted, but this is what happens when a freshly ejected 5.56 lands on your sweaty neck. It actually happened twice. This was during a patrol rifle school.

I'm looking for the pictures of where I was racing my brother on my motorcycle (I had a Honda 250 street bike and he had a 250 dirt bike) and we were racing through the woods. I saw him duck and couldn't figure out why. He had strung barbed wire at throat level so he'd win. I have a couple of puncture marks around my windpipe where the barbs got me. Doc said it just barely missed my windpipe but I bled a LOT.

I am also looking for the picture of where I shot myself in the palm with a .45. That was a wicked picture, mostly because the bullet went through my hand, through the wall, hit the fridge, bounced off the compressor, hit the wall again and then bounced off another steel stud and rested in the condenser coils. I spent 2 days watching my fridge to make sure it was fine.

I don't have any pics, but I ran through a sliding glass door while a little drunk (a little as in I don't remember anything) and some glass punctured my left fore arm and the docs had to check to see if my tendons and nerves were ok. For a couple of years I couldn't do much with my hand, but I have most of the movement back now
