He is great - We got to see them live at Windstar a couple years back, his voice is spot on for classic Journey. It's funny though, when he speaks normally - he's hard as hell to understand.Originally posted by Frank View PostArnel Pineda is amazing. The story is pretty funny about how he was playing for a Journey cover band at the time and thought he was being pranked when Journey called him for real.

Here's another good one....I think I posted it on the old site. This guy used to be the front man for one of the best cover bands I've ever seen....called the Yellow Brick Road Band....they play 2-3 nights a week around Vegas, pretty much all year.
He does this gig in tribute to Queen with the Windborne Symphony on the side.....

I'll be sitting 3rd row for Journey tomorrow night. Already seen Pineda with them a couple years ago and he sounds great.Originally posted by turbostang View PostHe is great - We got to see them live at Windstar a couple years back, his voice is spot on for classic Journey. Damn!! went on youtube and listened to him singing Nessun Dorma. My father-in-law used to sing tenor with the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and over the years he got me to appreciate opera. That guy will have a great career in any field he wants !Natural law. Sons are put on this earth to trouble their fathers.

Actually, Freddie Mercury was Persian, or Parsi to be exact. Although their modern lineage is in India, they are not ethnic Indians. (And no, I didn't plagiarize that).Originally posted by Ratt View PostNow if ohe was Indian instead of white he'd be eerily similar. His voice is kickass.
