I don't read a ton of books, but this series kind of caught my eye. Would ya'll say that it's an entertaining enough series of books to keep the attention of someone who isn't into reading much? I'm not illiterate or anything, just don't get into books much.

The last 3-4 books of the Dark Tower series sucked so bad it made me want to stomp a kitten. The last two were horrible, it was like he was just throwing shit at paper to get the series down. All of King's shit went downhill after he got plowed by that van.

I agree, it seemed very forced. Wish he would have slowed down, I really loved thefirst four books. Hopefully the eighth that is about to come out won't suck.

If you want to read seven books that consistently have good writing and flow together, get The Harry Potter series.

I have read ALOT of those and many more by the same author(s). Eddings is probably my favorite. I couldn't get into The Dreamers series though.

Anything that has The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy on it gets my respect.

I liked it a lot. However the last 3 books seemed rushed(they were) and weren't on par with the first 4, imo. Wizard and Glass is the best of the series.

So is it worth reading the first couple of books if the rest of em suck? Or would I just get into a story that isn't worth finishing?

The first 3-4 were pretty good, I liked the second and third the most. It seemed to start getting 'forced' about half way through the forth book in my opinion and went downhill from there. One thing to think about is this series was wrote over a period of I think 35 years, so his style and the things that influenced his writing changed a bunch.

I would get the first and read it, if you like it, get the next two and go from there.

wow, some really good books on there. I just want sanderson to put out the next book after the way of kings. Great book. Guess ill have to check out some of the ones i havent read on that list.
