Looks good, always liked sport/ kinda fast trucks. I have owned a 04 Lightning and loved it, just sold my 2011 HD F150 with the 6.2L and was fun. Now am in a 06 Silverado SS. The 6.0 in it isnt bad.

4.8s are not all that bad with boost. They come alive with boost. But my 84 will either have a 4.8 turbo, or 6.2 if i can find one..

Talked to a buddy of mine in Houston with a built 4.8 (slightly over stock) and he says with 8lbs of boost, its holding up quite well. It is a daily driver and has zero problems with it. 45,000 miles and after a tear down, no major signs of any failure in the bottom end. Sounds like he may be on to something..

Some of these aren't "bolt ons" though. Headers, tune, stall converter, cam, gears.
But it depends on what the goal is.

Fast trucks are cool, but having a fast truck that isn't really a truck anymore, can't tow or carry shit, just kills it for me. Run 12's, get 19mpg, and be able to tow 6000+ lbs in a 1/2 ton and then call me impressed. 11's would be even more impressive.

My f-150 will do that... Hope to hit 11's this fall on a good night. I hit 12.5 last fall with 80 less hp and some other minor mods.
