I put 500 miles on a 2012 Boss 302 NON Leguna Seca And wasn't impressed. Even with the shocks cranked all the way up, my buddy in a 2011 GS Vette 'vert was flat-out leaving me thru the mountains near Lake Travis in Austin. I never had it at the track, but it never impressed me. I WANTED to like the Boss, read all the great articles, then 500 miles later I realized I wasn't missing-out on anything. Its just the lighting, it really is orange, there was a red one at Bankston Ford as well as my buddy Craigs orange one and they are different for sure.

Yeah same thing happened to me when I was test driving a 12 boss 302. Even with the stereo cranked all the way up and wipers on. My buddies bugatti keep out running me at top speed near lake Bachman in Dallas. So I took that pos back to the dealer.

When I drove the Vette and he drove the Boss, I was running him down everytime, when I was in the Boss and he had the Vette, he got me everytime. It wasn't a driver issue I promise. Just telling the truth, no hating!

I may be wrong in thinking this, but I would expect the Vette to out handle and outrun a Mustang.
