I'm not going to increase timing, just stating that some folks actually make more power on less boost via more timing that can be achieved with lower compression. I am going to stay on pump and add another large meth nozzle to the mix. Motor should only lose ~3-5% with the 1 point drop and I'll more then make that up with boost. Everyone can have their own theory on why my piston broke a ring land. I don't think the tune up was to blame. The stock parts lasted a lot of passes on pump gas. Not willing to throw in the towel on it yet.Originally posted by Cmarsh View PostTrying to get the power back with timing is asking for trouble. And based on what i have seen from your tune(what you have posted), you dont have alot left in that area. Id go 11:1, e85 and let it make real power.

It's not that we have our theory it's that me Sam and Chris have been doing this for 10 + years and have seen that same thing happen to ur piston 1,000,000 times and it detonation. Im not being a puck but just telling you what it is. The truth hurts something sorry bro.Originally posted by dville_gt View PostI'm not going to increase timing, just stating that some folks actually make more power on less boost via more timing that can be achieved with lower compression. A fool you have turned out to be. If you dont think it was your tune that broke the piston you are learning nothing from your mistakes. That is the first sin of tuning.Originally posted by dville_gt View PostI'm not going to increase timing, just stating that some folks actually make more power on less boost via more timing that can be achieved with lower compression. Only a greenhorn would try to make power with timing over boost. This is why real tuners (like myself) get paid the $. Something has to seperate us from fools like you.
