Yep the vid in your link shows a good view of the cable hitting the blades. Guy was a dumbass for operating that close to the cables.....

If you pay close attention in the first vid you can see the whole rotor shaft lifts up and out right after the hit, which then appears to have caused quite a shimmy from hell as it rolled over and went down.
