I guess people that adopt from us mainly are looking for older dogs. Not that we don't rescue puppies, they are usually there much longer than the older dogs we rescue.Originally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick.. Just whip out your hawg and wiggle it in his direction, put it away, call him a fuckin meatgazer, shoot him the bird and go inside.

I know that, my point being most of the people that adopt from us are looking for bigger dogs, hence the reason we don't typically take doberman puppies or miniature pinchers.Originally posted by Pro88LX View Postmin pin is a breed, not a reference to a puppy....LOLOriginally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick.. I know this is old but I just got word that this big guy passed away in Feb due to heart failure. I only had him 6 months but I feel like he was part of the family. Rest east Klaus.Originally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick.. Good looking dog, I'm looking for a Doberman right now. Seems pretty young for the dog to pass? I'd really like to find one from a healthy/good breeder. (Would hate to get attached to one and it not live long.)1997 Miata - Weekend\Autox Car

He was healthy as can be, his adopter took him on regular walks and hikes. I don't know the full story but it's not the first time I've heard of a bigger dog passing at a young age due to heart issues.Originally posted by Labora View PostGood looking dog, I'm looking for a Doberman right now. If you're looking for a dobie, I highly recommend checking out these two rescues.
Doberman Rescue of North Texas
At Doberman Rescue of North Texas, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Dobermans in need. Discover how you can adopt, volunteer, or support our mission!
Lone Star Doberman Rescue
I can't say enough good things about both rescues, both have top notch facilities and volunteers. I'll be adopting from one of these two facilities when I have a house and can adopt.Originally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick.. On the fence with dealing with rescues, they have some weird demands/hoops to jump through, not to mention the contracts you have to sign. Who knows.. Will have my fence done in a week or so then start looking a little more actively.1997 Miata - Weekend\Autox Car

You have to understand that it's in the best interest of the dogs. They don't want to adopt out dogs that could be dumped somewhere else. I've worked with Doberman Rescue of North Texas and we've had people adopt who end up trying to get rid of the dogs later on. A lot of the dogs we rescue come from abusive situations, the contracts that you may see with some rescues is ultimately the best the owners of the rescue can to try and assure the dog doesn't come back. The owners of DRNT are lawyers and their contract says that if at any time you feel you need to surrender the dog, it comes back to the rescue first. And we've had people bring dogs back, which is the last thing we want. Adoption fees are different, rescues typically work of their own fund raising and all the adoption fees go to food and vet bills. Being a foster parent, I've seen that first hand.Originally posted by Labora View PostOn the fence with dealing with rescues, they have some weird demands/hoops to jump through, not to mention the contracts you have to sign.
