I just picked up this truck for cheap but it needs paint. I don't want to spend much money on it but I also don't want it to look horrible. The truck will be driven some and I'm sure it will see some mud and trails. I considered trying to do flat black but I am a mechanic not a painter so I am a little nervous. Any suggestions?

Just leave it as is, paint and body work isn't something you go cheap on.Originally posted by Redbeard90gt View PostI just picked up this truck for cheap but it needs paint. Rhino liner , if you aren't ready to spend 2-5 k just wait . There is no such thing as a good , cheap paint job . Macco paint falls off in a year and flat black will cost you a ton in prep down the road .The only difference between a tax man and a taxidermist is that the taxidermist leaves the skin. -- Mark Twain

when you're talking about a $100k+ car? ok, the satin black has a little swag to it...
but on a $2500 car? it looks like a $2500 car in primer
