Why would you post a bunch of people dying?

Skydiving is something I have absolutely no desire to do. I also feel the same way about scuba diving.

Why? Scuba diving is awesome. Haven't gotten to sky diving yet, but believe me when I say that I will.

How was wind a contributing factor in these accidents?

There were two I believe that show people unable to deal with the wind to get distance from them and the cliff, like the last one. The people the just never pulled, or the chute failed completely, are just more reasons to not base jump. No forgiveness.

Breathing underwater just doesn't appeal to me, in fact it sounds like an extremely bad idea. I love to swim, snorkel, jet ski, etc, but going more than about 10 feet underwater is not for me.

Yeah, but your gear is well maintained to the highest standards, plus you have a backup regulator, plus every other diver has a backup regulator. You always dive in pairs. Technically I am certified to 68 feet deep. Worst case, I can jet to the surface long before I drown at that depth. They train you in emergency procedures if the worst should happen. If you are REALLY paranoid, you can get an emergency air supply with enough air to get you back to the surface.
