German Shepherd owners, in here

This is my Molly. She's not pure bred, but still predominantly a German Shepherd. Her mother is full blood German Shepherd and her father is full blood Black Lab. There are days that she outsmarts me, but I'm not complaining. She keeps me on my toes.

my german shepherd (sebastian) will be 12 on april 1st...he is a great dog and very smart! we've never done much of any house training, but we've always been able to leave him n the house without worrying that he'll do anything (chew, pee, etc). he's also great with kids! he likes to walk right next to them, and he's very protective of them. he doesn't growl or anything like that, but when you walk up to my son, for instance, he'll stand up and walk between you and him, and he'll watch what you do. even when my wife is playing with my son, he wants to see what's going on, as if to make sure that you're not hurting him. it's really cool to see. anyway, they're great dogs...i can't say enough good things about mine!

I know what you mean. Here is Molly just being a shepherd and keeping my youngest nephew from going further up the stairs. She is very protective of the kids and even treats each one a little differently. It's as if she knows just how rough she can be with each one.
