Helicopter Pig Hunt

I spent the last few days in South Texas on a helicopter pig shoot. We flew for 4 hours on Thursday and killed right at 50 pigs in 6 pastures. They flew two weeks prior and killed 80 in 2 pastures. Needless to say there is a big pig problem there.

I shot a couple of my uncles new doubles as well. One was an Italian made double in .500 Nitro Express, the other was an English double is .470 That .500 kicked like a mule.

What do pigs do that considers them to be a problem? I get the fact that overpopulation of anything isn't wanted and that hunting is a necessity, but do they kill livestock or eat crops? Both?

They are an evasive species that is non native and they are destroying the land the native species rely on for survival.

No shit. That is a thousand dollar day for a couple hours of hunting. If I had the coin I would be doing it to so I am not mad at them for it.
