We drink beer all the time when we work on the LeMons cars. Mostly when doing suspension or brake work.

Perhaps I need to rephrase what I said because I did not mean to imply working on the car isn't fun, nor "dry".

Some people just don't get the idea and general concept of even the most simplistic things. The 24hours of LeMons, is by definition, a competitive parody. I have to admit, it is a difficult concept to truly get one's head wrapped around. I even had a difficult time the first time I went to work on one of Barron's LeMons cars. I was all about accurate cuts, through and through welds, proper bracing, etc. and this was just for a front panel modification. (No safety, barely looks.) Barron kept saying "You're putting WAY to much effort into this. This is LEMONS!!" My interpretation, "If you're not having fun, or drinking beer, then you're doing something wrong!". (Obviously, no barley pops during the race.)
